Former Tourism Minister of Seychelles Alain St. Ange will be a speaker at the first international conference “Sustainable Scientific Research and Digital Transformation: A Future Vision for Tourism, Hospitality, and Antiquities.”
The conference will be held in Egypt next week from October 17 to 19, 2023 is being held under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, His Excellency the Governor of South Sinai and her Excellency the President of the University in Dahab and Taba, Sinai Governorate, Egypt.
In a message sent to Alain St. Ange, the President of the Conference & Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Noha Azmy, told the former minister that his presence and involvement will indeed make the conference more valuable and interesting.
Mr. St. Ange has just returned to his home country, Seychelles from Indonesia, where he had attended the WTN Tourism Summit TIME 2023 in Bali, and some other strategic meetings in Jakarta. At the TIME 2023 WTN Tourism Summit, his biography “Alain St. Ange: A Life in Tourism” was launched with copies presented to several dignitaries there.
Speaking about the upcoming conference, St. Ange stated; “It is an honour for me to have been chosen to be a speaker at such an important conference. In our fast-evolving world, we need to ensure that tourism industries across the globe remain relevant and adapt in this digital era.
“We must work together to ensure that through digital transformation, our sustainable development goals are effectively met. Let us embrace change in a positive and innovative manner so that we can bring forth more opportunities which will allow our tourism industries to grow.” he concluded.
Alain St. Ange who was the successful and popular Seychelles Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports & Marine resigned from his position to represent his country in the UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organisation) elections for the post of Secretary General. He has since then been a much sought after speaker on the International Circuit for tourism, sustainable development and aviation.
