Indonesian Youth Ambassador, Shanna Shannon has received a copy of “Alain St. Ange – A Life in Tourism” after meeting the revered former Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports & Marine of the Seychelles. The meeting took place in Jakarta in the presence of Shanna’s mother, H.E. Ambassador Nico Barito, amongst other dignitaries, where St. Ange, presented a copy of his biography to the young singer.

The revered tourism guru, Alain St. Ange said after presenting Shanna Shannon with the book that he was honoured to meet such a young and inspiring young lady who knows what she wants in life and who uses her talent to better the lives of many less fortunate members of the youth in Indonesia.

Born in 2006, Shanna Shannon is a social activist, youth motivator, and founder of Shanna Shannon Indonesia Banget Fondation. At the age of nine years, she started teaching English to underprivileged children. Today at only 17 years old, Shanna works with UNICEF Indonesia, and the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection of The Republic of Indonesia.
Shanna Shannon started uploading covers of national songs since 2015, the first cover video she uploaded with the song “Indonesia Pusaka” now has more than 3 million views. Apart from uploading cover videos, Shannon often appears at events to perform the national anthem. In 2016, Shannon auditioned for the premiere at Marina Bay, Singapore. She became one of the Asian delegates to sing and act at Disneyland Florida, United States.
In 2017, she was named Ambassador of the 2016 Great Indonesia National Anthem by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan at the 2017 National Carnival. In 2018, she was given an honor to sing the National Anthem “Indonesia Raya” at the Opening Ceremony of Asian Para Games and in 2022 she was given an honor to sing in G20.
On Indonesia’s 75th Independence Day, Shannon and Dul Jaelani released a single entitled “Anak Negeri”. In 2021, she officially released the song “You Dan Kenangan” (You and Memories) created by Melly Goeslaw from the original singer Maudy Ayunda, where she previously covered the song in 2019. The video got more than 20 million views on YouTube, which made Trinity Optima Production, the copyright owner interested in releasing it officially on digital platforms.
In September 2021, Shanna Shannon had a music program entitled “Sing with Shannon” which aired on GoPlay. She released her first single with Trinity Optima on September 24 2021 entitled “Rela”, which was composed by Melly Goeslaw and became the theme song for the soap opera Cinta after Cinta a year later.
