Renowned Tourism Consultant, Alain St. Ange of the Seychelles along with Emmanuel Treku, CEO of Inter Tourism Expo Accra (iNTTA) paid a courtesy call on the current Gã Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II at his private residence in Accra, Ghana this week. Gã Mantse is the title of the king of the Gã State in southern part of Ghana, where the Ga-Adangbe people dwell, with Accra as the capital city.
“It was an opportunity to firstly express our sympathy on the passing of Naa Deide Omaeduro III, the late Queen Mother of the Gã State,” said Alain St. Ange, the former Seychelles Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine. St. Ange who is currently contracted for some tourism consultancy work in Ghana went on to say that the visit to His Majesty was opportune as arrangements for an October funeral are currently underway.
The meeting was also an opportunity to discuss the fast approaching Inter Tourism Expo Accra that will be see His Majesty the King deliver the keynote address in a bid to get young Ghanaians to join together to embrace Tourism as an industry for their future and for Ghana.
“The same Inter Tourism Expo of Ghana will also have Alain St. Ange, the former Seychelles Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine take to the podium to address the event as a tourism expert” said Emmanuel Treku of the Inter Tourism Expo Accra.
The meeting, it is said, was the opportunity to brief His Majesty the King on the coming Expo and to discuss talking points. Earlier in the week, St. Ange had met with Treku in Accra to discuss cooperation for the expo. Scheduled to take place from 18th to 20th September, the event will be held at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, Accra.
The expo is expected to bring together travel industry professionals, exhibitors, and enthusiasts from around the world.
