We are delighted and proud to announce that one of Africa’s emerging young voices in the world of travel and tourism, Anniey Wanjugu Mwangi has joined the Walk For Love Africa® team as a contributor. Anniey will share her thoughts on topics that include: conservation, sustainable tourism, travel trends, destination marketing and more.

A passionate tourism and travel enthusiast who has a keen interest in content writing, Anniey draws her inspiration from her love for tourism and travel, which has fuelled her travel blogging experience. Her writing style is engaging, informative, and often infused with her personal experiences and perspectives.

Anniey is dedicated to creating quality content that inspires her readers to explore the world and embark on their own adventures. Her blog will cover a wide range of topics, which any traveller can explore.

An alumna of Moi University Eldoret, where she bagged a BSc in Tourism Management from the School of Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management, Anniey modestly describes herself as “a travel and tourism enthusiast with keen interest in sustainable tourism, conservation and tourism marketing.”

Anniey Mwangi has experience with the private sector as well as stints with leading national bodies such as Ecotourism Kenya, Kenya Tourism Federation (KTF), and the regional organisation, East Africa Tourism Platform (EATP) where she worked with seasoned international trade professional Waturi Matu and her successor Carmen Nibigira.

Others places where Anniey has worked include; TonyWild Foundation and Patinaai Osim Community Care.

Her love for conservation has led her to explore different ways to understand how conservation is linked to tourism, while also exploring the possibilities of making tourism economically and socially sustainable and beneficial to both destination and those who live there.

Her hobbies include domestic travel, reading and exploring new tourism possibilities. Ms. Mwangi aspires to inspire people to travel sustainably, conserve the environment and to inspire travel operators with marketing strategies that can help them attract the perfect clientele through her writing.

In the recent past, Anniey contributed a weekly column to Afro Tourism. More of her writings can be found on Discover Africa Blog.
